Reduce Cholesterol with Paratha !!!



Spring Onion Paratha


Now a days, its common to high cholesterol, Blood Pressure and Constipation. This is due to the our bad lifestyle. We do not get up on time and sleep on time, we don't take healthy diet, don't do exercises. We love to eat food which suits are taste not body like Parathas, Pizzas, Junk foods, oily food, Spicy food.

In India, eating any kind of Parathas is common in the morning as breakfast. Parathas are high energy/Caloric food. A single paratha gives around 500 Calories. In India, a person generally consume at-least 3-4 parathas in the morning.

In earlier days, eating parathas were fine because of hectic physical activity through out the day but in Modern era when person doesn't have any physical activity, consuming parathas are not advisable. This can cause high Cholesterol, Weight gain and other diseases.

We are presenting the parathas which is not high caloric food, tasty and easy to digest too.

Ingredients


4 Spoon -              Whole Wheat Flour
1 Spoon -              Oats
4 Spoon -              Spring Onion leaves
3 Spoon -              Low fat Yogurt/Curd
1/4 teaspoon -       Jeera Powder/Cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon -       Garlic paste
1/4 teaspoon -       oil (Sunflower)
1/4 teaspoon -       Methi dana powder (Fenugreek seeds powder)
Salt to taste (Use rock salt instead of sea salt) Hindi - Sendha namak used in fasting.

Preparation


Mix all the ingredients and prepare soft dough with help of water. Keep a side for 10 min. Take small portion of dough and make Roti, Phulka, Tortila.
Bake it on the tawa/flat pan on medium flame. Spread oil on it.
Serve Spring Onion Paratha with low fat yogurt/curd, Green chutney, Onion.

Advantages


Garlic paste/High fiber wheat flour/Fenugreek seeds and Oats is known to reduce the cholesterol. Cumin powder and Fenugreek seeds improves the digestion. Curd/yogurt, Fenugreek seeds, wheat flour provides the necessary protein. Oil provides necessary oil in the body.

It is good for those who have high Cholesterol, Obese, High B.P, constipation and heart problems
